New PTE Speaking Templates with Full Mock Test

If you're preparing for the PTE exam, this is a must-read! In this blog, we dive deep into a real-time PTE Mock Test for the Speaking section, using brand-new templates that are completely free for you to try. These templates are designed to help you perform confidently, even with the latest PTE scoring changes in 2025.

I recorded this mock test without a microphone, just to show how realistic and achievable your score can be when using the official Pearson platform. Let’s walk through what happened, the techniques I used, and how you can score perfectly in Speaking—even after the updates.

Why This Matters

With updates coming in 2025, especially around PTE Speaking scoring, a lot of students are feeling the pressure. But don’t worry! With the right template, strategy, and mindset, it’s totally possible to get a perfect 90—and I’m here to prove that.

Starting the Speaking Mock Test

I launched Mock Test Version 1 on the official Pearson platform. This tutorial focuses only on the Speaking module, using our new, easy-to-follow templates.

Quick Tips before Starting:

  • No mic used (to simulate test center environment)
  • Volume adjusted for clarity
  • Used new Read Aloud and Describe Image strategies
  • Followed the "First 12 words" rule in Read Aloud

Read Aloud Strategy – First 12 Words

I always suggest reading the first 12 words clearly and confidently. This helps anchor your fluency and pronunciation early.

Pro Tip: Even if you fumble, do not panic. The system rewards fluency, not perfection.

Describe Image – Structured Template

Every Describe Image was handled using a clear template:

  1. Main feature of the image
  2. Mention 2-3 statistics or elements
  3. Compare highs/lows
  4. Conclude with a simple summary

Even for images with limited data, the template worked perfectly. Just fill in what you can, and complete the response in 23–25 seconds.

Retell Lecture & Summarize Group Discussion

For both tasks:

  • I used templates for structure.
  • Showed fluency, not hesitation.
  • Summarized key points like main topic, important stats, and opinions.

In one response, I skipped the template to demonstrate the difference. Conclusion? Templates give structure, clarity, and better scores.

Answer Short Questions

Handled normally. Clear pronunciation, no pauses.

Respond to Situation

Here, I strictly followed the situation-response template. Showed:

  • Politeness
  • Direct approach
  • Clear structure

Final Result

Perfect Score in Speaking
✅ Perfect Score in Listening

Despite the new scoring rules (e.g., Read Aloud not affecting Reading score anymore), I still got a perfect speaking score using the same strategies I teach students every day.
